The two selected works by the architect are Maison Carrée, which is the Roman temple that is consecrated to the imperial worship in the French city of Nimes, and the Flavian amphitheater which is known as the Roman Colosseum.

Each of the structures plays several roles. The Maison Carrée structure is a rectangular building measuring 26m long and 15m wide and has a height of 17m (Anderson, 2012). The temple is paradigmatic of Roman architecture and the main reason is that it stands on a large podium where there is a vertical well and pseudo-peripheral temple (Martin & Jacobus, 2014)Influences Of Ancient Architecture Essay Assignment.
