Acknowledging that these are the five signature themes that emerged from a total of 34 themes, they arguably say a lot about who you are. Belief in oneself is important, especially in one’s professional career. As a master of Science in Nursing student, belief in your abilities is crucial as it enables you to look at things from multiple perspectives. You mention adaptability and relator as your two key strengths. I would like to talk about adaptability in your capacity as a nurse. We all do have areas that we feel the need to improve. The justification for this is that we are all different and in order to harmoniously interact and relate well with others, changes and improvements are required. An improvement in context will lead you to be open-minded and assertive in your points of view. I feel this is necessary, especially in an environment where pressure and divergent opinions are the order of the day. Equipping yourself with context and harmony will go a long way in uplifting your confidence and personality and enable you to be a better performer and communicator as a nurse practitioner and student. In simple words, all the signature themes that have emerged are important. What you must consider is that each one of them takes time to improve or achieve and you must allow sufficient time for them to become part of you.

Week 5 Discussion

In this discussion, we are to discuss our signature theme report. I was not surprised by my results, I thought it was accurate. My top five signature themes were 1) belief, adaptability, harmony, context, and relator Leadership Style Assignment Discussion.

Core Vales

Core values serve as criteria or standards, guiding the choice or evaluation of people, actions, or events (App, Kirova, Kirova & App, 2022). In the strength finder, my number one was belief. It stated that I am family oriented and trustful. My family is my number one priority and my why for pushing myself to get my MSN (Master of Science in Nursing). Any work that I do, I always try to do my best. I believe that everything you do should be done with meaning.

Strengths

My strengths would be adaptability and being a relator. The word adaptability takes on a variety of meanings, regularly being “adapted” itself to fit a certain context or area of interest (Loughlin & Priyadarshini, 2021). I try to be reliable and adapt to every situation to the best of my ability. I do this at work and in my everyday life.

Characteristics

Two characteristics that I would like to improve are harmony and context. I try to avoid confrontation, but I would like to voice my opinions more often and not shy away from issues that need to be addressed. Faced with new people and new situations, it will take you a little time to orient yourself, but you must give yourself this time (“Login | Gallup Access”, 2022)Leadership Style Assignment Discussion. I am good at meeting new people, but I would like to deal with unknown situations differently. I wish I could deal with my anxiety in these situations better.
