Conducting an organizational need assessment is a process that involves evaluating an organization’s current state with the intent of establishing and implementing strategies that challenge what might be identified. In healthcare, a need assessment is essential with the primary goal of improving quality care. An organizational need assessment can help identify crucial skills gaps and their impact on quality care and organizational performance (Center for Disease and Prevention Control, 2022). Consequently, the management team might decide to hire new professionals to fill the gap. Additionally, a need assessment is also essential during the implementation of technologies. The problems are identified, and through the help of a nursing informatics, an appropriate technological intervention might be implemented.
