Section 3: SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Based) Goal

Section 1: Leadership, Management, and Followership


  1. In your current experience, do you more frequently assume the role of leader, manager, or follower? Explain your answer.

As I previously pronounced, I assume mostly the role of leader because I like helping my coworkers with new things, new technologies tools on my unit. Although I’m not a formal manager on the unit. I help new nurses’ students develop their skills on the unit. I mention mostly because, in the beginning I practically assumed the role of follower because I was a new nurse, my first time on a large Cardio & Telly floor, I did not know much to play a leader role. More than a year after, I’m pretty much aware now and knowing how I can contribute to the team and organization to make it successful.
