Throughout my life since I was a little child, I have experienced different stages of faith and I have come to appreciate the unique challenges and opportunities that each stage presents. When I was younger, I was in the “child” stage, where I first became aware of God’s love and forgiveness and started to develop a relationship with Him. At that time, admittedly, my faith was simple and childlike. At this stage, remember that I had a deep sense of dependence on God and a desire to please Him. Today, as I have grown and matured in my faith, I have entered the “young men” stage (Willett 93).
