There are four techniques of discipling: the lost, believer, worker, and disciple-maker. The lost is a form of discipling that encourages people to “come and see.” As modeled by Jesus, the process started when he left Heaven and came to the world, and for thirty years, he integrated himself with the worldly culture before starting his ministry. The second form of discipling is believing, where Jesus told his followers to follow him and make a relationship with God through salvation, obedience, and prayer. The third form of discipling is the worker, where people become fishers of men and start being actively involved in ministry works. A worker is responsive to leadership. The main form of discipling that I frequently engage in is being a believer. This occurs after I have formed a relationship with God, and then I encourage others to follow suit.
