The identified artistic movement was related to the rapid expansion of photography as one of the most influential visual art form in the 19^th century. Jacobs (2020) explained that the camera emerged as one of the most powerful invention during the 19^th century and onwards based on the exponential amounts of works that were developed by artists to depict the effects on photographs on the expansive world of art. Similar sentiments are shared by Kushch (2022) who indicated that photography enabled the mass production of visual images through a photographic process to attain the objective representation of reality. The historical and political influences of photography as a literary movement were largely informed by the rise of photography as a potent visual communication and a mass medium with extensive acceptance and application in the public domain (Timby, 2018)The Literary Movements Assignment Paper. For example, the widely-known works of Maxime Du Camp, a French photographer, helped in the preservation of the ancient Egypt’s monuments and hieroglyphics in 1850, and the distinct European worldview of Egypt and the East were immensely transformed based on the exposure of Europeans to Du Camp’s photographs.
