The term ezer according to James in chapter 5 is used to mean ‘helper’. This may mean that the woman was created as the helper to the man or his assistant. Ezer also describes women as warriors in calling. The chapter attempts to demonstrate the worth of women in the Christian life and the shifting focuses on women. James is critical about the calling of every human being by God to fulfill a special purpose.
