Some individuals support the Electoral College’s existence, stating its benefits to individual states and the US as a nation. On the contrary, Americans feel that the Electoral College should be abolished, claiming it disadvantages states with fewer electors. However, I agree with you that the Electoral College should continue to guide the US national elections. First, the Electoral College is fair and just since the number of electoral votes allocated to a particular state is determined by its congressional delegation’s total size. Consequently, the system benefits smaller states by allocating them a minimum of three electoral votes. Two of these votes are tied to the state’s two Senate seats.
