Interview summary

During an interview with my assigned patient, I would first focus on establishing a rapport with him. This would encompass creating an environment that is safe and free from judgments. Communication Techniques

• Open-ended questions-the main focus here would be undertaking the patient well by encouraging him to share more about his place of residence, how he relates with people, and express his feelings and thoughts in detail (Vernon et al., 2021).

Risk Assessment Instrument

I selected the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) tool because of its known use in assessing both behavioral and emotional problems in children and adolescents (Ball et al., 2019). The questionnaire is made up of a total of 25 questions that cover different domains, such as peer relationship issues, inattention, prosocial behaviors, and emotional symptoms.
