You MUST write on at least ONE PLAY studied on the module, and which is different from the play chosen in your first assignment.The play for this assignment: Ben Jonson, The Masque of Blackness (1605). Try not to steer away from this and do not mention other plays thank you. As the title of this assignment suggests, it encourages independent research into the plays studied, their context, history, themes, and a variety of issues raised in lectures and seminars. The essay should include analysis of at least one play, but may include reference to a number of plays, depending on the topic chosen. For example, you may focus your answer by addressing one of the concepts or themes addressed on the module. You may also wish to write a comparison/contrast of two plays studied on the module.In assessing theessaythe examiners will be looking for the followingqualities:1.
