POST 1
Being a bedside nurse during covid 19 working TCU and ICU I saw firsthand the extraordinary circumstances that people persevered through during this time. I also saw many leave bedside nursing for many reasons. Lack of support from administration (they stayed home) to lack of support on the floor, there was simply not enough nurses and support personnel to assist with the job. When I left my hospital, the nurses were actively working on trying to bring in a union and the administration was fighting it tooth and nail. I am still in contact with nurses back at this facility and the changes that the administration has implemented have not been to the benefit of the organization as a whole, especially the nurses.
